Installation of structured cabling network at Stanton House, Huntingdon - 146 outlets

Serco Solutions provide data network support for the Cambridgeshire County Council, Ely Telecom were given the task of re-wiring the council offices at Stanton house in Huntingdon without any disruption to the office workers.

This was achieved by installing all of the structured cabling into the loft area throughout the week, whilst allowing the old network to be running, a new data cabinet was installed and this was terminated throughout the week.

The Ely Telecom engineers then worked all weekend to remove all traces of the old cable network and disconnect patch leads from the County network. Then we started to drop the new cabling from the loft area, terminated the new data outlets, tested and re-patched back onto the County network.

By Monday morning the changeover was complete and we had no reported errors, a successful weeks work.
