The video storage system can either be the hard drive of a PC, a dedicated storage server on the network or even a remote server, rather than holding the recordings on site. Remote access and motion detection are a valuable extra if you require monitoring of valuable or technical equipment such as a server room. If there is any movement in the area of the motion detector the camera will start recording and can log events until the movement in that area has stopped, the software then allows you to search though the video files by time and date making it simple and quick to replay video files. These devices can help prevent any unauthorized entry to secure rooms and thus minimize downtime on your network. Another feature of these systems is that you can capture and image from the camera and print the image as you would a regular digital camera.
